Spirit Streams 2.0

The rebirth, refocus, and revitalization. This is us, Spirit Streams, saying we’re back. It’s a little different this time though. We’ve wiped the past slate clean and are standing here with a new nature, new mission, and refined message. Even the website you’re seeing today is brand new, from the inside out completely revamped and unrecognizable from the old. This message is a message that will proclaim not only the beauty, wonder, and awe of the wonderful sport of fly fishing and the pristine unique intimacy of the Driftless Area spring creeks. But also a message that will proclaim God in all His beauty, love, wonder, awe, power, greatness, and holiness. Because you see, this trinity of elements – God, fly fishing, Driftless Area – is exactly that, a trinity, a close interconnectedness that together creates an enhanced experience of truly being in the presence of the living God. And when you sit and soak in this presence, it is there that He will continually spark within you a vision of how to continually live out your life in true and complete abudance.

So hang on tight, this ride we’re about to take you on will not only provoke thoughts but those thoughts will turn to action and that action will begin by taking you to the deep valleys of the Driftless Area; artfully casting your fly upon the pristine spring creek, while beginning the process of spiritual enlightenment.

My mind wandered....If they are that big on the top what lies in the depths of that blockage?....

A notable thrill was the sudden, stout strike and subsequent battle of a truly beautiful 18 inch Brown. That beauty was unexpected but very much appreciated. A new season is beginning and with the amount of trout spotted and caught it looks very bright!

I found the trout today schooled up in pools and very eager to take scuds and nymphs. There were all age classes, nice egg laden females along with several large nicely colored fall run males brought to the net. The bite was consistent.
